27) Initiation - Dragonfly

I am the Dragonfly, the Water Witch, Master of Air and Water Elements. Let me tell you about my life in the wetlands. It begins in a small pond, where I went through many transformations. My mother cut tiny slits in the pond weeds and laid her eggs inside, protecting me and my siblings from predators. After a couple of weeks, I hatched into a nymph. I had no wings, but I was able to catch my prey of water lice, small fish and even other nymphs. I swam by pushing water through my intestines. During this stage, I molted 12 times! I lived for two years under the water, until it was time to leave. This was a big decision, because once I emerged from the water and completed the transformation I could never return. I also knew I would not live long in the sunlight in my current state. My soul knew I had to take a leap of faith and allow for my initiation to unfold.
Divination: You have shed an old skin and are embarking on to new territory. Try to look at the butterfly feelings in your stomach as excitement rather than anxiety.
Reversed Divination: Panic attack central! Breathe, and get your feet back on the ground. If you are in full anxiety mode, stop and take inventory of what is going on around you.
